Innovation begins in the mind – so you have to make some time for it, and develop a process that works for you. Don’t try to do it on your own either – enrol and inspire your people to help you, by creating some rituals within your business to get the creative juices flowing and capture promising ideas when they are just “seedlings” looking for a way to grow.
Put up a suggestions box, keep an ideas journal, have regular one on ones with key teammates to listen to their ideas, hold regular strategic planning sessions – these are a few practical ways to keep your service from getting stale and outdated.
