Out with the old and in with the new. Happy New Year everyone and welcome to 2015 – the year of opportunity! Have you decided to make it your best year ever?
In case you haven’t heard yet – we are in the first minute of the first hour of a brand new paradigm where values and relationships are the new social organizing principles. In the old paradigm, which began in the late 60’s and grew until it exploded in 2008, money was our organizing principle – but that era is over. The internet and new technologies have changed the game.
Here are there competencies necessary to thrive in the new paradigm:
- Understanding values – getting clarity on your own values, the values of your company, your customers and your people.
- Building relationships – Learning how to connect and care for yourself, your employees, and your customers.
- Developing trust – Getting good at creating a personal and business culture of trust that speeds things along and changes everything!
Don’t get me wrong – money is still important – but it will follow those who understand how to play the new game.
