Here’s a question I’m getting more and more frequently these days; “How big should I dream? There seems to be this idea forming out there that if you aren’t dreaming really huge – somehow you aren’t ambitious enough, smart enough, or valuable enough in this world.
Great question! Here’s how I would answer it:
Don’t give a flying @#$&^* about what other people think about how you should live your life or run your business. Get clarity on who you are, and what’s important to you and use that as your guide.
Don’t waste your energy and spirit worrying about some “made up” standard about how big you should dream, and don’t operate from a position of your fears.
Dreaming big is whatever you decide it is for you. Dream important, dream relevant, and dream in alignment with who you are and what feels right. Don’t get me wrong – dreams should stretch you – but if you’re not authentically excited about where the stretch is getting you – there’s probably some values conflict at play.
